I've tried every stupid procedure possible to find and the owner's manual just said some nonsense about the dealer matching them or some garbage .. I don't think that the jumpers work for 2000-2005 either because I don't even have a pin in #8 on my OBD connector / port at all over here πŸ€” I found maybe six different procedures all of which do not work πŸ€”
My OEM FOB is garbage πŸ—‘ πŸ˜’ it works only when I'm close enough with it to touch the window FFS .. it is ridiculous.. the inside of it was coated with oily grease and I cleaned the contacts and the PCB and etc
Is there a way to make the new FOB learn from the old FOB or ANYTHING I can do to make this 🀬 thing work?!

Thanks πŸ˜…

Nope Nothing new FOB's on the 2000-2005 Lesabre are dealer or locksmith programming only

Cool 😎 is that the same as a bypass module for an alarm/remote starter???
no

It engages the cars RFA or BCM or whatever the relevant module is to tell it to go into program mode, and then the remote presses are then looked for, then the remote is pressed, and then it now syncs up the rolling code stuff(like a garage door opener almost) and thats all she wrote. In 1999 that could be done with a paper clip but it required a scan tool after 2000

Ah.. I see... that is fascinating...
I got a guy who has a scan machine, you know one of those big shop ones, but he hasn't had time lately for me to drop by .. hopefully I can just make my $8 one work or some other one
It is fascinating learning about it though I'd say
