I have a 2006 Buick Lucerne CXL 3.8 L V6

I am planning to buy 4 brand new tires and do a 4 wheel alignment.

Before the alignment I wanted to replace the front outer tie rods as they are in rough shape and leaking grease and have the rear lateral trailing arms to be replaced.

I have already done the tie-rods but have not done the rear lateral trailing arms.

Although there is no play in the rear arms and bushings appear to be fine both trailing arms appear to be very old, corroded and crusty.

I would like to replace them as preventative measure.

The other option is to just leave them and replace them if they break.

The part I ordered is a MOOG RK660168 from rockauto:

I have never done the job myself and would like to know if anyone has done this job and if it can be done relatively easily and safely with simple tools, floor jack and jack stands at home on your own driveway and how to go about doing it.

Please find the photos attached showing the conditions.
