2006 Lacrosse various sensors randomly reset

I got an 06 CXL that displays a few messages on the DIC. ABS, Traction control, variable effort steering, and stability control are displayed but every now and again ill start the car and all messages will be gone. The steering becomes much much more responsive and the TC button works. does this mean that ALL the sensors are working all of a sudden? i havent been able to get the brakes to lock or the wheels to spin as i havent driven it in snow or ice yet but it does steer easier. Im not sure how to test the stabiity system as i dont exactly know what its function is. Why would this be happening and where would i start to adress it?

I've had the traction control work numerous times up here. One drive wheel hits ice, spins, traction control takes over and moves some of the power to the non-slipping wheel. In order to test you need to get one wheel to spin. Dish soap and water maybe? You could try it in a parking lot somewhere. Grab a jug of water, make a puddle, put some dish soap in. Put one of your drive wheels in the puddle. Put it in Drive and hammer it. Just a guess on this one.
