2007 buick lucerne cxl engine wiring harness

Ok fellas my buick is in the shop and they are saying that I need to change my engine wire harness but they can't find any online or anywhere because these buicks have a California emissions harness.. any truth to this? Or can I just purchase a regular wire harness?.. edit i have 3.8 v6.. what I'm wondering is can I just go to a salvage yard and pull one from another buick will it fit?

You failed to mention which engine but looking at gmpartsdirect.com there is no mention of California having a different harness. Check with any local GM dealer.

If a CA emissions type vehicle it may have a air pump, but still need to confirm along with engine V6 or V8.

Did you check with a GM dealer as I pointed out in post 2 whether a California harness ever existed? New harnesses are still available.

If your vehicle is equipped with the airpump see diagram, then it may require a different harness if not then a stock one. If you find a matching harness then a yard one will work if it's in good condition.

I took my Buick PA 93 3.8 to a shop for repairs. They changed the camshaft position sensor. Solved nothing. I ended up removing the whole wiring harness. The wires were in horrible shape. Car is so old I could not find a new one. So I ended up cleaning up reworking the old wires. The car still starts and runs. 179000 miles. Has lots of issues but still runs. 😂

Okay okay I have the same problem with the but the rats ate my wires and the guys I took it to the shop they put it together but they told me they couldn't find a harness either but they wired it back together but I passed the smog but now I have an issues with the computer in the battery dead stalls glitches instrument panel is doing some weird stuff I don't know what it's called let me know what it's called. I took once said the battery is dead i think the wiring. Thanks. Oh yeah I have the V 8

You have to put peppermint around your engine if you're parked in the garage. I had that problem with some mice in my garage but luckily enough they did not chew any of my wires. Everything is preventive maintenance it's a job even with the mice.
