My apology if this has already been asked, but has anyone else experienced hesitation or a dead spot in their accelerator pedal at speeds above approximately 45mph? My 08 CXL is very smooth up to about 45mph then suddenly it feels as though the timing has retarded or there is simply a 1.5 inch gap of dead space in the accelerator. If you give it enough gas to overcome the dead spot, the torque convertor clutch disengages and quickly re-engages again. Very annoying, very dissatisfying and fear it is bad on the transmission. Anyone else with this problem and hopefully any suggestions for resolution? Purchased at 31K miles and presently at 39K. This issue does not occur at any time if the cruise control is engaged. Thank you!!

I've owned two of these cars, a 2007 CXL 3.8 and my current 2008 CXS 4.6. The 2007 CXL seemed to exhibit the same sort of behavior under 65mph. I figured that there might be some carbon build up so I switched to hi-test gas + Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubrication & Injector Cleaner. Over time I think that helped. ymmv

Yes! I've had this problem, it's like the transmission sticks and then jerks. I don't know what the problem is either though. Replaced tranny filter, pan and filter when it first started, but it didn't help. Have u had any luck?
