Last week my car was sitting in park and idling. As it was idling, it cut off and wouldn't start back up. So I get it towed to back home bc I didn't know where else to go with it.

Next day, my friend comes out to look at it. He was able to find that my ignition control module was FRIED. He replaced it and still wouldn't start. He hit a snag. Couldn't go any further without a diagnostic machine.

Two days later I got my hands on one. Only thing that was coming up was the oil pressure circuit. My friend replaced that. STILL won't start. The next day he calls in reinforcements.

So he and his buddy and my bf work on the car. Turns out the crank shaft sensor was shot. Ok. Finished up the replacement of that this morning/afternoon. Still won't start.

Could packs were tested a second time and they are good to go. New icm was tested again. All good there.

We are at a stand still now. No clue where to go from here. I need it fixed asap as it's my way to work. Any chance somebody has some ideas? On how to get my car back on the road?

What engine? Sorry I don't have any suggestions, but knowing might help for other members.

Oops lol. That could help. It is the v6 3800. To add to all this, my friend that is working on it is throwing possibilities at me. He had mentioned the engine control module (ECM).

I see no mention here of testing for adequate fuel pressure, or good spark to the plugs which are both necessary for engine to start???

All necessary testing has been done again and again. We are just stumped and I am looking for a suggestions as to why others might think this is happening.

Well if the problem has not been resolved in the past 2-years, it may never be!
