2009 Buick Lucerne
New to the group and looking for some advice. Recently purchased a 2009 Lucerne CXL. When purchased it was known from the test drive that the front motor mount was bad. Upon purchasing I went ahead and changed all mounts in the car (front and back are hydraulic OEM style). After this I still had a vibration issue in park and worse in gear when RPMs dropped. Changed out the harmonic balancer that didn’t help much if at all. Any other ideas that anyone has with the same type of issues? It’s an 09 buick lucerne with 3.9l v6 and 250km on the clock.

Without a code and not knowing anything on maintenance history it's really guessing. Other than the mounts and dampner has there been any troubleshooting on mechanical or electrical components?

Have the basics been covered such as air filter, spark plugs and wires?

Yes all basics covered. No codes at all read when scanned. Air filter, oil, plugs and wires all changed recently. Car runs strong on the highway with no hesitation or misfire. Slight vibration in the gas peddle on acceleration but other than that nothing alarming.

The 3.9 is drive by wire so the vibration is somewhat unrelated if not felt in the rest of the vehicle. VVT related problems in the valve train system, but not knowing what has been done it could be parts tossing. The solenoids can be inspected and cleaned as a no cost option same as inspection and cleaning of the TB. Check the Chevrolet forums also as they have more vehicles than the Lucerne with that engine.

Attached is the GM TB repair 14582A — Special Coverage Adjustment.

A professional scan may be required to identify the vehicles problem on current or stored codes as some issues may not trigger a CEL.

Thanks for the info I am going to have the dealer scan the car along with run any history they can find from GM dealerships. Will inspect the throttle body and give a good cleaning. Also need to drop trans filter/fluid and change for not sure when it was done last. Not sure it will have any relation to my issue but good for piece of mind.
