2011 Buick Lacerne CXL radio power wire grounding out and draing the battery.

I just bought which I still feel was a great deal, this Buick with 148,000 miles. From a couple in their 70's. One owner and garage kept. They said the radio didn't work and their son pulled the fuse because of battery issues. Well I found out why. I put the radio fuse back in and by morning my battery is dead. Has anybody had this problem or heard of it? And know what or better yet where it might be grounding out at? I need my tunes! Lol

If you turn off the car with the radio on, doors closed, does the radio turn off after about 10 to 15 minutes?

Basic radio or HK, if HK could be the amp. Not a known issue unless the head unit is bad, the RAP module is having issues, harness is shorting out or something had been modified by a technician. The other item if OnStar is on the same circuit, wildcard but that's a potential suspect.

Can't put the fuse in cause it drains the battery. No lights or nothing comes on the radio when the fuse is in.

I'm going to double check again to make sure. But with the fuse in the radio does not work and no lights and there is no turn signal sounds but they work. No times when the door opens or the door opens with the key in the ignition. But I'm going to double check about it draining the battery. Just to be sure. Funny thing is if it's grounding out would it blow the fuse. Maybe nit as in the amps would have to jump above the amount of resistance the fuse is.

The door chimes work through the radio so if the radio doesn't work neither will the warning sounds. If the radio isn't working that could be a problem anywhere in the system or harness. Pull the head unit out and check the wiring harnesses as a possible first step, best guessing not being on site.
