Buick Ownership
2014
I have a 2014 Buick regal that has 69400 on it. Friday I was driving and stopped at a red light; when the light changed and I went to pull off the car cut off. I put it in park then restarted it with no problem or hesitation other than the engine light came on. I received the code through the onstar diagnostic scan. Now every time come to a complete stop the car cuts off. It was not running ruff or making any noises and it ran perfectly fine. It still runs smooth not other than the stalling when stopped; I only drove it home. What could this be the dealership wants me to bring it in and get it diagnosed there for $75 to $180. This does not include parts and labor. Thanks for your help and advice in advance.

No Onstar ran a diagnostic on it and gave me the code P0010 when I took it to Advanced Auto they couldn't get it to show. I didn't know with Onstar they could do a diagnostic scan. I have seen a lot about these solenoid do I need to replace both to be on the safe side? If so I will replace them on Saturday

You can ask your dealer if your car is covered under
Special Coverage 18369
which is for the camshaft position solenoids.

If you register under "Loading...", it will give you any warranty info that will be remaining under your VIN

Coincidentally, we just had this same issue on our 2012 Regal this week. Replaced solenoid and it is now smooth as silk. Thanks to thread contributors!
