2015 AWD & rear axel service

Hello,
My 80 year mother has a 2015 Lacrosse and is getting 2 messages on the DIC service awd and service rear axel .She took it to the dealer and was told these are none serviceable parts and need to be replaced ,$3500.00 aprox.
Has anyone had this issue ,or have any insight .

I have a 2013 AWD and have not received this message. What symptoms does it have? Can it be driven? How many miles are on it? It sounds like a reminder to have the rear axle serviced to change the gear oil. I have done this in the past on mine. It takes 2 different types of oil.

It doesn’t have any symptoms ,currently 120,000km . I’m taking it to my trusted shop today so we will see what we find out
