I bought this car brand new and in the 1st 6 months the rear hatch would intermittently, though not frequently, not work. Went to the dealer several times and of course it would work while I was there. Fast forward 5 years ~ I've replaced the actuator and it worked fine for almost a year. Replaced it again (this is with factory parts) and 2 months later it's not working again. I'm wondering if it's not something with the wiring harnes(s) because both of the doors on the driver's side will randomly not unlock, have to use the key to unlock driver's door. Anyone else having this problem and more importantly does anyone have a solution? I'm getting tired of replacing it and having to crawl through the backseat to open it (with a screwdriver and then it gets to the point where that won't work)

Have you ever used a multimeter or test light to see if any power is going to the actuator?

No, I guess I'll be buying a multimeter tester today. Would I just unhook and with each link test?

I haven't seen the connection, if more than two wires you need a circuit diagram

Thank you for the advice. It's going to be a lot better weather today (less than 100°) so hopefully I'll get this figured out 😉
