Anyone else have this happen? It has done this 3 times the last few days. Whenever I put a new thumbdrive in one of the USB slots, it will start playing, then cut out and reboot. Odd to say the least.

Sounds like a full-on malfunction. Dealer may need to reprogram the system, replaced the USB port, and/or replace the entire infotainment system. It's definitely not a feature! 😉

Before bring it to them, have you tried a different USB thumb drive? It certainly could be a poorly formatted or malfunctioning thumb drive. I also assume you only have compatible music files on the drive? Not sure how it would react to other file types being on there...

I thought the same thing, so I reformatted the thumbdrive (didn't use quick format either) to make sure nothing was on the drive. Then i copied my MP3 files over to it - only MP3 files, and not nested in directories or anything. Did this on 2 different drives.

I do have a thumb drive I have been using for a while that doesn't cause this to happen. It's just odd, so it might have something to do with the actual drive i guess.

Next time it happens i might call the dealership, or stop in. Thanks!

I had a similar thing happen 3-4 times when I connected my iPhone 5 to the usb. It's not reproducible, so troubleshooting is near impossible... Anyone know if there were updates to the 2013 infotainment that improved reliability?
