Buick Ownership
2015 Regal GS
Hello all,

I hate that I have to make this post but here we are... A little over a year ago (89k) I lost my clutch pedal so the Buick dealer replaced the clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing, etc.

Today (115k) I took my car to the shop to have them diagnose "knocking" sound when sitting in neutral. The sound is worse when releasing clutch in neutral. The shop found metal in my clutch fluid, so assuming a new transmission or rebuild is due.

Unfortunately I and the shop can't locate any rebuilt or used transmissions online for the 2015 model. Everything is showing for 11-13. I was hoping to pull together the resources on this forum to help me find a reputable rebuilder for these transmissions that I can have the shop send this off to or some alternative solution.

Thanks for all the help in advance.

Wikipedia says that the manual transmission was offered in the Regal from 2011-2017. If the F40 manual is the one that's on your car, there's no reason why others from that year range wouldn't work. Now, since you have the LTG 2.0t engine, the only years you'll theoretically be able to use is between 2014-2017. Any older and you're messing with a manual that was paired up to a completely different engine, and who knows if they'll even pair up.
