2016 Regal Turbo Trans clunk

As the title says I developed a clunk when it down-shifted when stopping at a light. It just started and seems to be normal when accelerating but I noticed a slight hesitation when upshifting as well occasionally. What should I look at? not throwing a code but I will throw my code reader on it and see if it tells me anything. She has 126.5k on her.

When is the last time the Trans Fluid was changed?
Have you checked the Level and the Color (on a White Paper Towel or Cloth)?
How is the Engine Oil Level?
I was told by a Mechanic at the Buick Dealership that that Low Engine Oil
can cause problems with the Transmission (it's a long story).

I plan to do all those things tomorrow. Engine oil seems weird but with todays cars nothing surprises me anymore.
