I started my car to put the defroster on so I could clean the snow off my car. I had the FOB in my coat pocket. I exited the car with the FOB. I was shoveling the snow around my car and cleaned off my car. After an hour I was completely done with everything and then walked to my car to turn off the car. I was surprised that the doors were locked!!! Thank goodness I had the FOB in my coat pocket. The car was running and the doors were locked! Not good. I opened the door and turned off the car. I did try to start it just to make sure that it would start and it did start. My question is why did the doors lock with the car running and I was outside the car with the key FOB in my pocket? At all times I was not more than 12' away from my car. The car doesn't lock automatically when I exit it. I have to manually lock it and that is exactly how I want it! I am afraid one day that the car might lock me out one day if I leave the car running and I exit the car with the FOB in it .....or as it happened today I was outside with the FOB. Any idea what happened today?
