2017 Buick Envision Premium II transmission Problem

Hello there,
First of all thanks to all the supporting members.
I am looking for some help with my 2017 envision. I bought it as salvage and drove for like a year. Now the transmission was leaking and when diagnosed it has a crack and as per local mechanic I decided to install the used one. So I browsed in ebay with correct specifications and got one. Now the problem that ai am having is, mechanic that is working on replacing the transmission says that he couldn’t reprogram as GMC or buick don’t let us to or as 2017 they don’t have mich of resources as it is almost new vehicle. And also I call to local buick dealer and they says they cannot help reprogram as GMC wont allow us to as it is salvage.
so please help me in this regard. Do I need to reprogram the newly bought used transmission with (5k mileage) ? If yes where can I look into to repgram it?

Why cant your mechanic remove the transmission control module from the old transmission and install it in the replacement?
Your other option is contact a local transmission repair shop such as Midas.

Thank you for the info and help. As I am new to new transmission thing so I can assume that I do not need to reprogram the transmission if I use from the old system and is it the smae thing that program or reprogram means that we are talking about TCM transmission control module?
