I have a 2017 Encore. Today my trunk would not latch when closed. It gave an alert while I was driving and when I pulled over, it would shut but not latch in place. The latch mechanism seems to move but when pushed in, it never locks in place to hold the trunk shut. Nothing was in the way of the latch when this issue arose, so I’m not sure what is causing it to behave this way. Thoughts on getting it to latch? Locking not the issue as it will not lock when not latched. Thank you!
