Hello I have the service parking brake light and warning at start up, anyone know how to trouble shoot this, the actuator motors on the rear calipers appear to work, when you apply manual power with test probe you can make them extend and retract. Button on dash dies nothing and trying to enter service mode like you would to do rear brakes doesnt appear to do anything either

I have an advance autel diag to and can get to the module but none of the command tests from there work and or get a failure message.

Is there a dedicated module for this system, no stored codes

Looking for some help to get teenage son back on road with his limited budget.

Thanks!

Condition/Concern
Some customers may comment that the red park brake light on the instrument panel intermittently comes on.
This may be due to the vehicle automatically applying the electronic parking brake (EPB) when the vehicle is not moving.
Recommendation/Instructions
This is normal and is done periodically (every 50 key cycles) to check the correct operation of the EPB system.

Thanks for the reply but I dont think this is the issue, the light on the dash is yellow/orange and is the same light that would come on and flash while in brake service mode, except in this case we are not in service mode and it is lit solid and we get a warning message at start up saying service electronic parking brake.
