2017 or 2018 Lacrosse essence model

Greetings. So like I was at Lowes awhile back and I saw this sharp white sports car. I thought must be German MB or something. Damn! It was. Buick Lacrosse. Now, I have seen the Lacrosse models 2005 2010 etc but this car was super sporty. My research tells me this was a later 2018 or 2019 model called the essence? Correct me on this if you can? What year did this change take place in body style? Etc
