I have purchased Acadia's in the past. When I heard about the new heated wiper park feature, I knew I had to have it. My last Acadia had a frozen windshield and carefully pealing the wipers off of the ice, I discovered my new wiper blades left pieces of expensive blade rubber in the ice. The new Acadia's with that option are shipping with the option listed on the sticker but with a $100 credit for not having it installed. My sales person pointed out that the Enclave with that option did not have the deduct so they must be shipping WITH the feature. My new car clearly shows the feature as being on the car and NO deduct. Well, after the first snow, there was no indication the feature was on the car. A call to Buick customer service confirmed that the VIS (an internal GM VIN decoder) indicated the car WAS made without the option, even though the window sticker claimed it has it!!!!
Now What?

After much back and forth and angst, I now have my heated wiper park. My sales person turned the issue over to the Rep., he turned it over to the district person, who turned it over to the "engineers?" Next thing you know, I have heated wiper park! Researching this, I find that the Buick engineers get into the cars through OnStar and can turn on features like heated wiper park!

Did you ask the customer service rep?

Well, if you paid for it you should get some $$$ refunded. My 2023 Terrain has it but our loaded 2024 Cad Prem-Lux AWD XT6 does not, strangely. Seems a pretty simple feature that shouldn't have any op problems, but you never know.

If the window sticker claims the feature is there but Buick’s system says otherwise, you’ve definitely got grounds to push back. I’d suggest going back to the dealer with all your documentation window sticker, VIN details, and the info from customer service. They should either fix the issue (install the feature) or offer compensation. If they’re not helpful, escalating to GM corporate might get better results. Have you tried that route yet?
