70k miles on a 3800 Lesabre 2003. Doesn't get driven other than 2x a year. Stored in attached garage. Wouldn't turn over with starter last spring.

Battery was taken our of a car I just drove but went ahead and charged it for about an hour. Car tried to turn over but didn't and finally it cranked for about 5 seconds and started. As soon as it started it smoked antifreeze out exhaust. A LOT of white smoke. I ran it about 2-3 minutes but never slowed down on smoke. Questions: Could be UIM burnt at egr? Why would it run and drive fine 6 months ahead of last spring only to do this? My main worry is did it hydrolock and screw up a rod? This car looks and drove brand new and has been stored just waiting to become my primary vehicle. Now don't know what to do...

Have the battery load tested! Did the battery have any charging while sitting for 6-mo? White smoke from the exhaust would indicate there is coolant in the intake/combustion chambers & can cause hydrolock & will be your worst nightmare that you can experience! Have you pulled any of the spark plugs to look/smell for coolant contamination? I would not to try to drive the car until you check for coolant leaks. The UIM failure would be the first guess, but it could also be leaking LIM gaskets. You, or the mechanic have some diagnostic work to do!
