Hi! I have a 89 regal 3.1L Limited that's having some interesting issues.
A few days ago I was driving down the highway with no prior issues with this car and it suddenly dropped to 600rpm and then went back up to 2k
it dropped then the car shut off, no matter how much i cranked it would not restart.

I got it towed home, the next day it started back up and ran fine..for about a minute. Died again, same issue. It'll restart now but runs incredibly rough and dies almost immediately.
I've replaced the crankshaft sensor since this happened with no change.
Checked MAP Sensor - all voltages are good when vacuum is applied, and voltages appear good when the car is running.
Checked IAC last night and it appears to be functioning.
No change with TPS disconnected (from my understanding it should run on a "Default" state.
all plugs are getting spark.. only had a "light" tester for spark plugs, not sure if they are getting "correct" spark though.
I noticed when the car first starts its barely sucking air through the intake, then suddenly you hear a HUGE amount of air being sucked into the intake, and that's a bit abnormal for this car (I don't recall it doing that before)
Quick Edit - I did check fuel pressure and it came up perfect, threw in a new fuel filter just in case.

I'm thinking ECU or ICU at this point. Any ideas?

Hi MelsRegal - I checked the codes and got a 33, I did all the diag on the code according to the factory service manual - I believe it was tripped due to the terrible idle when it does run - the MAF and MAP tested good.
