my brother has a 92 park avenue that has 2nd, 3rd gear and reverse only . I changed out the transmission I got from a pickapart and it also is doing the same issue ( no 1st and overdrive) I have checked the shift solenoid with a 9 volt battery all click. where should I look now? Anyone have a pinout of the ecu so I can check to see if the solenoid A is getting power. Any fuses or relays should check. i am going over to his house to diagnose this weekend

Thanks for any help

what codes do you get flashing the CEL and also have you tried manual first vs all the other Positions, and have you also adjusted the shifter cable and shifter/manual valve on the transmission per the procedure.

thanks for all the things i can look at and the help

finely got over to the car and tested voltages at the transmission solenoid plug and no power present was getting code 26 quad driver#1 and 56 quad driver #2 so I now think it is an ecu

you would be thinking wrong. A quad driver failure can be a dead short in the affected circuits for example. A new computer will not fix a dead short. You can try, but im saying you should verify before throw money but it is your money

do you have a pin out for the ecu to test for the (Dead) shorts? what is the quad driver 1 and quad driver 2?

the seven round plug, that plugs into the transmission has no power with it key on or running. The ecu feeds the plug if i am wrong . does anyone have the pin out for plugs on the ecu? where should i check if i have no power to the plug on the transmission.
