Decided to prep car for winter by replacing new radiator and coolant and a new battery. On installing battery connected ground terminal first and then positive. (Oops) While tightening positive post there was a split second short to ground, didn't think it was a big deal until I turned the key-switch ... NOTHING.. After two frustrating days I then installed a starter switch under hood from positive to purple wire on starter. On initial check engine turn over OK. Then connected Red and Pink under dash for constant feed. Pushed starter button, engine starts instantly, drove 5 mniles home flawlessly.
NEXT.. replaced suspected ignition switch, steering wheel removal etc. New switch rending exact same response - nothing,
However, now clock stays on, radio can be turned on without key assistance 🙂blink🙂 . HELP!! Is there a starter relay?? Where??
Car has 70K miles still acts and run new, all original trims still.
