Hello to the forums!
Long time Buick owner and lover, this will be my 6th Buick I have owned and looking for another 100K + out of her
So again 1994 Buick Park Avenue Ultra with 140K miles on her. I just bought it off a friend of mine and now its time to start replacing a few things and fixing her up!
First project was oil change and replacement of the Oil Pressure sensor since the gauge would rest at 40 at idle or coasting but when gas was applied it would peg out over 120+. Since the gauge was acting up I figured I would just change it out.... Now the gauge will peg on initial start and will not go back to 40 in idle or in drive.

Item Purchased BWD S4116P. it is significantly shorter than the original one as in 1 inch shorter than the original.

This one look like the original one I pulled out

While looking thru to snag the part it has "With Light" in the description is there another part for gauge only? is that the issue I am having?
So any thoughts as to next step for me went thru the Chilton's manual and that's why I replaced the sensor was a cheep part but it has different symptoms than the original one. Did I just simply get the wrong part?
My next adventure may be to get a pressure gauge and verify myself.... No time like the present to buy a new toy.
