So I've never replaced the wheel bearing on this car, but now's the time to do it because it's squeaking/squealing bad.

My question is: are there any special tools I'll need? I can't find any info on replacing this year's bearings and the Hayne's manual just says that the bearings aren't "user serviceable".

The manual is correct, you can not service the bearings as they are a part of an assembly. The entire hub must be changed. You will need a ratchet and sockets, a torque wrench and a rather large socket for the drive axle nut, can't remember what size though. You will also need a three jaw puller to remove the hub from the drive axle. You may also need a torch to heat up the mounting bolts if they are being stubborn.

I watched a video on youtube that showed how to replace the hub assembly on an older impala so then I changed both sides on my 08 Impala. The correct socket is important with at least a half inch drive, and air impact makes the job so much easier because there are pretty tight bolts all the way through the project. Be careful with the ABS sensor wiring because it can easily get pinched. A puller is a must, too. Lots of videos, if your car isn't there just go for any GM close to your year. Good Luck!

Thanks guys, I'm gonna do the repair tomorrow. I'm not sure what sockets I'll need, so hopefully I've got the right ones. Unfortunately I don't have an impact wrench, haha. I'll do the best I can and hope that I can continue to drive the ol' beast.

Alright so I know the following things: You'll need a 34mm socket for the axle nut and a (maybe) 3/8 or 9mm allen key to take off the caliper. More to follow as I find out.

I have a 1995 Century and just replaced the drive axle, but now i need to align the front end. The places I have taken it to get aligned dont have camber, caster and toe in specs due to the age of the car, does any one out htere has this info so i can get this baby runnin again?
