I have a 1998 Riviera. The passenger heat, defrost, and floor work perfect. Even the passenger adjustments work. Problem is the drivers is cold. I checked the drivers center mode door motor. It works. The door seemed stiff, so I shot some liquid wrench in it and it moved that day.
Is the motor closest to the ashtray the heat door. I felt it moving with the controls. That day I was able to get heat at the floor vents. But now back to cold. Any advice out there? Can't I just pull the motor and leave it in heat all winter?

You probably can by removing the actuator. It might throw a climate control trouble code, not sure.
