Approximately 4000 miles ago the dealer finally agreed that I had an alarm for the Service Rear Axle and replaced something. It took about 30000 miles for them to finally agree there was a problem and they kept it a number of times overnight I guess to make me feel that I wasn't crazy. The alarm apparently would not read on there readers after the car shut off so I had to wait until the alarm came up and take it to the dealer while the car was still running. Luckily under warranty.

Last week an alarm for the tire pressure system came up and I had to replace a sensor in a rear tire. $100 for that one.

So anyway yesterday the ABS/Service Stabiltrac alarm came up and now the vehicle has 40000 miles. I shut the car off hoping to reset the alarm but it won't go off. Does anyone have any thoughts as what the problem is and cost. Since now out of warranty. Maybe it's time to get rid of this car. Appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

I don't have the answer to your question but it seems like your car should still be in warranty. My 2011 just went out of warranty on July 15th and yours is a year newer. It might be worth checking to be sure.

I think the warranty expires 36k miles. I have scheduled an appointment for this Wednesday and the dealer said no recalls have been posted for this problem. Anyway can't wait to hear what they say,,,,not!

Thanks. That makes me feel better for sure. Wednesday will be interesting to see what they have to say.

OK here's the scoop. First the car was under warranty! The problem was the Left Rear wheel Toner Ring was broken. This required the wheel bearing and hub assembly to be replaced. Oh while they were in there I had them replace the rear brake pads and turn rotors for $180.00. I just did the front brakes and pads and rotors cost me $150.00 so I felt it was a good deal. Anyways I have another 10,000 miles to go with my warranty and hopefully all the alarms will be repaired by then! Take care and good luck with those dash lights!
