A year or so ago, I had been told my AC Compressor was going bad (not sure what exactly what was wrong with it) after a 21-point inspection.
My AC has been acting up - working well, but just making a lot of noise. Yesterday, it started making a different noise noise and cut out. It starts to smell now if I run it, and continues to make more noise.
The car works just the same without the AC.
I uploaded a video - in the beginning the car is on, then I turn the AC on, then I turn the AC off, then obviously turn the car off. It is focused on my AC Compressor (the pulley at the bottom).

1. Is it still safe to drive the car (I have already done this for about 4 more hours the day after it "broke")?
2. What is likely to be the problem.
Thank you for your help.
