Looking for new rims & tires for my '95 Wagon. Tire Rack shows 0 avails & Discount Tire only shows 4/5 styles I don't like. There's much more available for the Caprice Sedan...why is this? Is it the half quarter panels? What else is different about the fitment on a Wagon?

I'm looking for a chrome Hot Wheels Car type style. I've seen some really cool Boyd Coddington wheels...not sure what fits yet. I was thinking 17 or 18's. The car is a daily driver & I will be towing with it. What is the widest rim/tire config I can fit on the car that won't cause any rubbing issues? I'll also need to be concerned w/durability for towing a 3K pound car on a tow dolly.

they are the same. there just isn't the intrest on the buick. You will need a 5X5 rim not the standard 5X4.75

Really??? They told me they may not fit? Are Caprices 5x5 as well? Is there a certain offset I need?

What's the widest tire everyone's using? My 225's hit the swaybar.

Very few places list things for any of these cars, but anything that fits a Caprice/Impala will also fit a Roadmaster, Fleetwood, or any of the wagons--they're all next to identical under the skin.

Also the same are the mid to late 90's full-size GM trucks and SUV's in 2wd and 5-lug form. They also used the same basic offsets and bolt pattern.

Case in point, I went from the stock 15" wheels and 235 tires on my Fleetwood to 17" Impala SS wheels with extra wide 275 tires. Had to trim down the rear skirt handles a bit (as is common), but all works like OEM and looks great. You can do the same with a wagon.

Actually, if you want to know a LOT more on any topic for your car, check out the Impala SS forum where most of us hang out the majority of the time:

That's also the biggest collection of wagon guys, and the most information you'll ever find on these cars.

The newstalgia wheels "wheel visualizer", http://www.buickforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5274 , could be used if you select the Caprice wagon. Ten manufacturers are shown as possible wheel solutions for the wagon. I thought the torque thrust type wheels were sharp if that's what you meant by chrome hot wheels type wheel.

Nice site!! I wish I would have known about this sooner before I made a trip out to my local rim shop & stuggled with this very program on their clunky, freezing-up 'putor. Their's did show several more manufacturers tho.
