Battery overcharging

Hi. My 2013 buick lacrosse battery light came on while driving home from vacation. It reduced engine power a bit but thankfully we were able to drive it to the next town 50 miles away. We got into town n bought a refurbished alternator which seemed to solve the problem till we got back on the highway and drove about 10 miles. Then the battery light came on again and the dashboard lights and middle counsel screen turned off completly and then just turned the car off. Now everytime we try n turn it on to drive it the battery voltage goes up to over 15. We can turn on the car and it will start at 13.0 voltage but quickly goes up once we accelerate. If we turn on the ac n radio n lights the voltage will go down a bit but a son as we try to accelerate it quickly goes back up n then shuts off

You have a computer controlled charging system. The proper diagnostic tool is required to determine what the problem is .
