My wife's Encore battery decided to kick the bucket, when I went to replace it, I noticed that the tray is way bigger than the battery and that it would be pretty easy to upgrade it. I wasn't sure that their would be a battery available that fit the larger area, but sure enough there is. The Duralast (Autozone) H6-DLG battery fits like a glove, all I needed was a bracket to hold it down. After searching the internet for a bracket upgrade, I found absolutely nothing, I can't believe that someone hasn't made one yet. So I decided to make one myself.
I took a piece of crap 1/8" x 3/4" steel, locked it in a vice, and bent it to the correct shape with a MAP gas torch, ground the edges down, sanded it down, sprayed it with flat clear coat to prevent rust, dropped the new battery in, and hello battery upgrade! Not bad for about 2 hours of work
