Take yours out, dry it out, and seal it with some silicone. You'll probably need to replace the ballast. Or you can look for a used one on eBay or car-part.com and replace it.i just talked to buick about my drivers headlight not working because of condensation. Dealer cost for the package is 1300 dollars if they even have it. Cost of labor plus part is well over 2000 dollars. If more people called buick ,explains this problem ,maybe they would do a recall. It is happening to hundreds of people. I sure dont have that kind of money to spend on this.

I had to do some re wiring on my 2011 as one of the leads was burned to a crisp so I added a piece of new wire and I've been fine the last few years. Its a tight squeeze to work in though where some thin gloves to keep your skin.I was alerted to the fact that my drivers side headlight was out. After changing the bulb, it is still out. Anyone have a similar issue or know what the problem of this could be?
Thanks
It’s well documented. And hundreds if not thousands have contacted GM. They’re not going to do a recall on it. Way too late to the party. The car is 7+ years old. They’ll just say the seals don’t last forever. Also the HID housings were so bad they don’t make them anymore. They have superseding part numbers. Good luck finding that part either.I definitely can have someone do that but there is so many people with this issue and they do replace or dry out and the same thing happens. I just wish people would call buick and auto safety and then maybe buick would do a recall.thank you for your response
Yep. The solution is to replace the housing. So, have Buick came up with a solution for this light because I just changed both of the front lights Now because my back brake light is out and I just changed it three months ago.
I'm having the same problemI was alerted to the fact that my drivers side headlight was out. After changing the bulb, it is still out. Anyone have a similar issue or know what the problem of this could be?

BallastI'm having the same problem
Rewiring on which leads? I think the driver side power supply (10-pin plug that goes in the headlamp assembly) is bad. Zapped a brand new ballast after it operated properly off the passenger side plug.I had to do some re wiring on my 2011 as one of the leads was burned to a crisp so I added a piece of new wire and I've been fine the last few years. If all fuses and relay is good then chances are the ballast went bad. You can buy it on Amazon for $40.I was alerted to the fact that my drivers side headlight was out. After changing the bulb, it is still out. Anyone have a similar issue or know what the problem of this could be?
