Buick LeSabre Cranks but won't start

What did you find was your problem?

Have you resolved it yet or do you have questions?

For some reason I don't have power to the ignition control module. I am unable to find the location of the fuse.

Any idea where the fuse is located? I have pulled every fuse I can find and can't find a blown fuse.

What is the year of the car? You may have a bad circuit from the fuse block, to the ICM. Normally, the ICM is powered with 12v when the ignition is turned ON.

Its a 1998 LeSaber. I don't have a fuse block cover so I don't even know what fuse it is. My book says it is a 20 amp fuse so that narrowed it down to 4 fuses. but I still don't know which one it could be. Would a bad ignition switch cause no power to get to the ICM?

Here's a diagram that may help - this is the ignition control module circuit for the 1998 Lesabre Limited -

Yeah. I already have that information thanks. I need a picture of the circuit block cover that shows the location of the fuse. Otherwise I am going to have to drop the circuit block and see where the pink wire ends up.

Where are you checking continuity and power on the ICM power wire, at the terminal, or on the wire? The terminal could have a bad/loose connection.

The ICM will also have to have a good ground to complete the circuit.

I've seen a couple of threads here where the guys have talked about having bad grounds at the ICM and then adding an addition ground just to make sure it's always there.

Private message me your email address and I will send you your fuse block description - can't post it here the pics are too big. Remind me in the email what year/model/trim your car is.

I am checking the wire from the fuse to the ICM. (Wire letter P= Pink)

I have read several different posts concerning grounds but I am creating the ground with the volt meter. When I checked continuity I grounded one end with a jumper to and used the diode tester function to energize the wire at the fuse end to ground and got a strong signal.
