Buick Rendezvous CX 2004 Cluster mileage programming.

Hi,
I am located at Vancouver Island. I am looking for a advice about my instrument cluster. My cluster had a dead speedometer, so I got the stepper motor replaced locally. After couple of months it died again. After investigation it was told that it is a problem of PCB and cluster needs to be replaced. A local Auto wreckers have offered a used cluster but the mileage (clock) is high. Is it possible to input the correct clock reading into it? Who can do it for me? I am thoroughly confused because of varied answers.

I would just swap it into your vehicle and see if it works.
If it does work, then see about programming.
I can't find it now, but I'm pretty sure the ODO is stored in the computer of the car.
