1966 Buick Special
So I have a 1966 buick 2 door special deluxe that I'm trying to rebuild. A deer jumped out of nowhere and now I need a new hood, grill, radiator, letters, and hood ornament. Can I buy a grill and hood for a skylark of the same year? Or do I need to find parts specific to the special? Also in general what are the differences between the special and skylark that I need to watch for in parts?

Most parts can be interchanged as they are the same car. There are a few pieces that won’t look the same, but they should all fit just fine. For instance the front fenders have different trim and holes for the trim. Skylark fenders have the vertical vents, and a special has horizontal trim.

Got it, thank you!

For what it's worth, I'm getting some body work done to my '66 Skylark and I just discovered that the fenders are from a '66 Special. At least I assume they are because they have the 3 straight chrome pieces on the fender and no little vent by the wheel. Seems to fix okay.
