Buick Ownership
2018 Buick Regal TourX
I just got my 2018 TourX today. It has all the markings of a base model, but it has leather seats. It seems to be a first gen with red gauge needles, but I thought I read somewhere if the VIN starts with W04, it should be the later models of the 2018 model. It's a smaller screen on the infotainment system. There's no wireless charger, and no power liftgate. (Kinda disappointed that both of these are missing.)

Were leather seats an optional upgrade on the base level trim?

If it helps any, my VIN is: W04GU8SX8J1081492

Thanks!

Does it look like th photo?

That is later infotainment system but the red needle gauges and small touch screen used on lesser optioned cars. These guages are a bit different looking than the "red needle" ones from earlier 2018 models people mostly refer to when they talk about red needles.

As far as seats sounds like someone put in aftermarket leather upholstery either as a dealer level upgrade when new or someone who owned it along the way upgraded it (Katzkin or similar).

Yes, that is exactly what mine looks like. Smaller touch screen, same gauges, etc.

Also, no heated steering wheel which is also a bummer.

Any idea how difficult it is to swap out to a larger touchscreen?

Red Needles are early 2018.

It's possible the seats were upgraded at the dealer or aftermarket, or upgraded from a used/wrecked.

No idea what's involved in replacing the radio. Note that what you see is only the screen assembly. The radio itself is another module in the car.
At a self serving yard I saw one Regal and was curious about this and when I opened up the dash I quickly changed my mind. Thought I'd grab one as a spare just incase.

I'd imagine some programming of BCM etc would be involved as well.
