I just bought a 97 LeSabre and the AC does not work. The first LeSabre I've had with a Climate Control and I don't think I like the idea much. Anyway, when turning the key to on or running, the CC display is blank except for the CF indicating Centigrade or Fahrenheit. With all the problems these Climate Controls have, my first thought was to replace it. No luck, same CF and nothing. No display, no temperature readout, no blower, no AC, no heat. The fuses appear to all be good in all 3 locations. Don't know what to do next.
Can anyone suggest what I should check or replace, the Programmer is too expensive to try without good reasoning. Can a bad Programmer cause the Climate Control to go blank and not work at all? Can I unplug the programmer to see if something else will display on the Climate Control?
