Buick Ownership
1996 Buick Park Avenue
My 1996 Buick Park Avenue had a whole lot of smoke start coming out of the dash and the ac control panel completely died so I replaced it with a reman unit but I cant seem to get any life out of it the lights for the buttons work but the controls do nothing and the screen doesn’t even turn on I check the main fuse panel the big 30 amp fuse is good and I checked the passenger side fuse box the ac programmer fuse is also good is there any fuses under the instrument panel that could have blown (auto ac) thank you all in advanced

I once had a 2001 LeSabre Limited that had a dead HVAC controller. It turned out to be the Dash Integration Module that was bad. I bought one from.a local junkyard for 50 bucks and it brought my HVAC back to life.

Where was the module located on yours?

Check your fuses again , I believe you should have some lower amp fuses related to ac/heat. Also when something shorts out and starts smoking, related wires and connectors usually get damaged too.
