Cold Air Intake for 18’ Regal with 2.0

Had a quick question about installing a cold air intake. Was looking at getting the K&N one that’s supposed to go into the 16-18 Malibu, supposed to be a perfect fit. My main question is can I just install it or do I need to do a tube of some sort. First time modding a car so I’m not the most knowledgeable thanks

If you're meaning the k&n kit 63-3097 it comes with everything you need to install it, I put one in my zb commodore and love it. Be prepared for alot more induction noises plus a loud diverter valve though. Two things I would recommend to of alongside... One: replace the kit supplied plastic elbow that attaches to the pcv intake port to a brass one. Two: install an oil catch can since it removes the factor one located inside the air intake pipe.
