Check the well where the spare would be, if you would have a spare.
Its on the Federal safety/VIN label on the DS door
A bunch of three digit numbers are there and then "QXMT7X" .. I search that and nothing comes up .. I'm trying to find he Smoky Gray Metallic color code to order a rock chip repair paint and for color matching down the road
That label only tells me vin and weight
so smoky gray is GLJ
and the touch up paint part # is WA-810T A A

Did you end up ordering and trying out the Dr. Color Chip? Curious to see how that would work on the metallic paints.
GM really screwed us with these 3-stage tri coats. I've got two small gouges on my hood from a rock that went down to the metal. Went to a quality auto body shop and was informed that the paint for the tri coats costs about $1,000 a liter. Thanks for not giving us a plain onyx black option, you fuckers.
The only way to get it to match is to blend it, so you have to use a fair amount of paint. Plus the 3 stages. I don't really want to pay $600 just to remove two small gouges :/

Did you just use the touch up color paint code? (GLJ WA-810T A A)
