Hello, first post..
I have a 94 wagon and did the opti and plugs/wires this weekend. I’m putting everything back together and I have a RED CONNECTOR in the area of the alternator and I can not find its home… the car has been modified before I got it and maybe it doesn’t go anywhere?? I even GoPro’ed the removing but going back I see the GoPro was right behind the AC expansion tank… so I have 17min of a great view of a piece of silver aluminum 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

This may be a guessing game, let's try the coolant level indicator light?

No.. I’ve accounted for that one.. same as AC and Alt.
It’s got a white wire and a brown wire in the connector. I have all manuals open and YouTube is tired of me searching.
The wire is very short… like it can only fit in the Alternator or power steering pump area. Power steering pump doesn’t have electric does it..? The manual says if it has “assisted power” something like that it might have a power connection.
Let me be the first to say I sure it’s something stupid and it’s right in front of me. I’m one of those that over think everything when it’s mine.. if I was working on someone else’s junk it be done by now but anything I own I doubt, double doubt.

The connector also doesn’t have that “weather pack” water proofing on the the connector.. it might be stuck in the other end or it just doesn’t use that…

It comes from the main harness on top of the intake and branches off with the Alternator,A/C lines.. it’s in that wire loom

EVO power steering= Electronic Variable Orifice, which is located on the PS pump. If you don't have the EVO system, the PS pump would not have that orifice or connector, but the wiring harness from the factory may include that connector. Do you have SPID code NV7 EVS, or N40 non variable assist?

How do I tell if I have SPID… etc?? This car is new to me but cars in general are not but I’m not familiar with the ins and outs of this.. thank you for the help..
Car did have the tow package and it’s pretty loaded if that helps

I searched all over for this and… nope. I do have my shop manuals and if I read correct it shows the power steering solenoid (acualtor) is off the back of the pump assembly and clearly I don’t have that.. maybe I didn’t notice it just laying there when I removed everything.. I left it in an area I can see it/grab it if I find out I’m a knuckle head.. well worse then I already know.. thank you for helping👍🏻

Everything is back together, car started immediately almost like it was warm…. Cars been sitting 6months plus.

Anyway….. Thank you for the help👍🏻

Thank you HotZ.. just filled it with REC and some Techron..
then I got home and…. NO CRANK!!!
I panicked and it was right after I opened the rear glass, I heard a pop (see my other post) and.. no crank. I went right to reading about the VATS and key diodes and basically walked away disgusted.
Thank god I got a very well trained tech as a buddy who walked me off the ledge.
First thing he says is have you tested the starter? NO, car was starting fine and sounded strong.. I go on an on about the key, the Vats.. I checked the rely, the fuse…
Next day I connect my power probe and touch started to bypass the car and NOTHING… I crack it lightly with a flashlight and try it again… click click
It is the starter.. I was positive It was the pcm or worse.
