Coolant Air Bleed hose

I have a 2012 Buick Regal 2.0 with the flex engine. I recently noticed the coolant air bleed hose is leaking, is this normal? I had to really search for this part for the Buick as there is little to no information on these cars. I asked the question what does the coolant air bleed hose do and this is the response I got; I A coolant air bleed hose is a hose that removes air from a vehicle's cooling system. This helps the engine run at the right temperature and prevents it from overheating. I guess I am trying to find some clarification regarding the purpose of the hose and the slight leak is concerning. Any help/answers regarding this question is appreciated. Thank you.

This is the hose and it's not supposed to leak coolant. It's purpose is to help eliminate air in the cooling system.
