Nice...what did they charge for the install?

Their deal is that if they’ve not done a video for that combo the install is no charge in exchange for permission to use the car in the videos and photos etc.

So the cost was driving out, dropping it for the day, driving back.

I will likely make a change to where the wiring terminates but I’ll wait until it’s warmer. For now I’ll just zip-tie the connector up and out of the way.

It was hard to refuse. It's the exact same parts that buick sells for $399 + installation, but for about $250 installed.
Great deal!
Any idea on if it will protect bumper with bumper step or ball from parking scrapes?

Not sure what you mean but if you describe I’ll be happy to check.

The hitch from Holden in Australia might do that trick to protect bumper but it's expensive to ship to US when I looked into it. It's a GM Holden part and also one is available aftermarket from a company there named Hayman Reese. It would have been nice to have it concealed a little better but it won't ever drag and it's a proper 2" receiver. Photos are from a forum member's car.

Thanks Kimeosaab93...
That is much better then the stateside version.
Appears to have a nice covered GM trailer plug too.
Thats a Holden TourX the twin to Buick TourX down to the cladding?

I'm not all that familiar with the naming for the down under but I think the cladded version is called the Holden Commodore Tourer and maybe comes with the 3.6L V6 and AWD.

My Son & I just installed the Curt 1.5" receiver hitch, mainly for my bike rack, and boy what a bear of a job it was.

So hard in fact I made the executive decision to omit the 2 heat shields just above each rear muffler.

I do plan to check temps with my Infrared thermometer both on the mufflers, body above them & any nearby potentially vulnerable wiring.

It does look very well built & stout.

No trailer wiring for now, as bike rack mount is the main goal.

Sounds like fun, looking forward to seeing how it looks and works-out for a bike rack mount.
