I have a 2003 Lesabre Limited. Love it, but the fuel consumption is poor, and response seems delayed.

As it seems to be running well, I am inclined to think it has to do with what I feel as delayed shifting (not slipping, just a delayed response when I step on the gas).

I am thinking that because my other 2001 Lesabre Custom is very responsive (peppy) and still has good milage. Could this be the Transaxle Pressure Control Module, or should I look elsewhere first. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

That is one of several possibilities and not necessarily the most likely one. Are any codes set (including hidden codes?)

There are several past threads on PCM symptoms and replacement.

But be sure to visit http://www.tripleedgeperformance.com/4T65E-Common-Problems.html for more information on the transmission and its common issues.

There are no codes set, but I need to check further for the hidden codes. That's a new one for me.

Thanks for the advice, and for the links to read up on. The good ones often get burried in a Google search. If I have success, I'll report back what I find wrong.
