In my '93 Buick Century, the driver's side door switch that makes the interior lights come on is broken (the lights come on with all of the other doors).
Now, I can't figure out where this switch is at. The back doors have the typical push-in switch surrounded by black rubber gasket thing, but the front doors don't have anything like that visible.
I tried searching the forum, and didn't find anything very specific to my car (only for newer ones with different body styles).
I've been living with the switch like this for many months, but after locking my keys in the car twice (in the ignition) and today, the last straw, my battery going dead because I left the headlights on...it is time to try and fix the switch.
I consulted two local auto-parts stores (Napa and Carquest, we don't have Autozone or anything like that here), and they have no clue. Did a google search and didn't come up with anything either.
Help!
I'm thinking it is either a switch located on the hinge, or on the door latch assembly (which sometimes decides to stick, so when I close my door it just bounces back open, even with it lubricated once every 1-2 years or so)
Any ideas? My Haynes car manual doesn't show anything about it that I can find. It has the electrical schematic, but that doesn't help too much right now.
Thanks in advance for any help!
