Encore 2015 Premium vs Encore 2017 Preferred

Hi everybody !

I am new to the forum and new to the Buick world. I am changing from Chevrolet to Buick and I really fell in love with Encore model.

I am now looking to buy a used Encore and I found 2 different versions : before 2017 and after 2017. So, what I would like to ask is your opinion about those 2 versions. Are there any differences in the performances (Handling, acceleration, AWD performance, etc.) ? Ot the main differences is just the look ?

Also, I found a very nice Encore 2015 Premium 62000 KM AWD in perfect condition. Your answers will help me to understand if that would be a good option or if a newer 2017 version would be better.

I own a 2016 Premium and love it. The only thing you should check before buying the 15 is to make sure it had the oil feed tube replaced with version "B" ( this was a bulletin )and try to find out if it was run on dexos 1 or dexos 2. Better to run these small turbos on full synthetic. In 2016 GM recommended full synthetic. One more thing about the 15 is you may want to change the dreiver's side wiper arm for newer version ( also a bulletin ). 2017 and up have a different turbo and a bit more power. I think the interior is better laid out but it all depends on how much you are willing to spend.
