Loud exhaust when accepting but quiet when not pressing gas. No holes in exhaust pipe. But it seems that the converter might be hanging a little low. Is there a flex pipe before the converter?
 
Here's the 3.8L 07 Lucerne exhaust system, where it's coming from is would be a forum guess.
