Buick Ownership
2013 Buick Verano
I just recently purchased a 2013 Buick Verano. And I been using it regularly to do Uber Eats, and I noticed that a whole tank of gas is only lasting me about 3-4 days, I am driving around for about 70-80 miles daily on average. it just seems like a lot for a car that is supposed to be really good on gas mileage, I did look up that this car has a small gas tank, but idk, any input will be much appreciated!

Stsrt by actually calculating your gas mileage and then comparing it to the EPA listing

Turbo or non-turbo? What pressures are your tires set at? When was the last time you changed the engine's air filter? Have you used any fuel system cleaner ever? Is there stuff in the cabin or the trunk you don't need to carry around with you daily?

A 15-gallon tank isn't that small for a C-class vehicle but the Verano was never "supposed to be really good on gas mileage." That was the Chevy Cruze's job. Your work probably requires a lot of starting and stopping plus idling, none of which are boons for high MPGs.

My '16 Turbo is getting between 31-32 which is at the top end of the EPA estimate. I've been very happy with the mileage. I have to say I keep the "instant fuel economy" on the display with helps me drive with a light foot most of the time.
