It's a weird thing - My gauge cluster and PRND321 indicator dims to the point where it's barely visible. It's intermittent.

Yes, I've replaced the sensor in the dash. Yes, there are bulbs out. I'm pointing to the electro-luminicent green areas that are the problem. I know I can disassemble the cluster and replace burnt-out bulbs.

Any ideas on the non-bulb areas?? It's a real PIA when everything dims-out. Ideas? Thanks ahead of time.

There is NO miracle cure for "intermittent" problems, they can drive a person crazy trying to find the cure, when the problem shows its ugly face. Some bulbs blown from the area of the problem, would be my best guess!

Yes... And it IS driving me crazy!! 3800 Engine - One of the best engines GM has made. The rest of the car?? %$%^*% So frustrating!!

It's not the bulbs. It's the actual display. (The non-bulb part.) I can pull the cluster out and change bulbs... it's the crazy psycho on/off back & forth of the information that I want to shoot.

I would remove the cluster & send it to a shop that specializes in the cluster repair. I had to do that with my 05' Chevy truck & has been working fine for the last few years. BTW, the vendor I used is located in SE MN & has a lifetime warranty on their repairs.

Thank you! I will check them out. There's got to be a solution.

BTW, when my cluster went crazy, I found a vendor on eBay in MN. It's been a few years since then, but I can still find the vendors website in my eBay archives, if you want it.

That would be great if you have it. No rush. Thanks for your input!

Another option, intermittent on PCB is a PITA but if not tried yet just a FYI.
